Nintendo just released a 25 minute peek at Xenoblade Chronicles X which is exclusive only to the Wii U. Thanks to this we know the gameplay aspect, resolution information and controller support. Xenoblade Chronicles X does not continue the story that from the Wii’s Xenoblade Chronicles, despite somewhat being a spiritual successor to the Wii title.
The game can sustain up to 32 players chatting simultaneously to exchange information, items or anything really, but only allows up to four players co-op. The gameplay trailer showcases the game world’s setting, both urban and rural environments. It highlights monsters or enemies available to kill or be killed, character interaction setup and online multiplayer experience.

Sadly, the game will not be running in 1080p, it will run at 720p instead and supports the Wii U Pro controller, USB keyboard and Miiverse support as well as the off-tv play feature. Xenoblade Chronicles X is set due to launch on 29 April in Japan but no news if the game will get to see outside of the Land of Rising Sun yet. From the gameplay video, it looks like a standard Japanese RPG style system and it features rather good looking visuals despite the sub-optimal resolution and lower performance console (as compared to the other competitors).
