Variety is reporting that the star of The Fault in Our Stars and Paper Towns, Nat Wolff is in final negotiations to star in Hollywood’s version of live action Death Note.
The movie will be directed by Adam Wingard (The Guest) under Warner Bros. studio with Roy Lee, Dan Lin, Jason Hoffs and Masi Oka as the producers of the project. Jeremy Slater (Fant4stic Four) wrote the latest draft of the script according to the rumours. Doug Davison and Brian Witten are the executive producers while Niija Kuykendall and Nik Mavinkurve will be there to ensure the interests of the studio is protected.
If Nat Wolff gets the role, he will be the student who found a supernatural notebook that gives him the power to kill anyone by simply writing his/her name down.
The movie will start filming next spring.
