TEDxYouth@KL is here once more to take the youth of our fine city to the future; with aims to give them new perspectives on future job possibilities and opportunities yet to come with the help of a slew industry pros and experts.
This would be the sixth year running for TEDxYouth@KL, with the event taking place on 12 December 2015, at the EX8 Auditorium in SS13/4 Subang Jaya.
The theme this year is “Made In The Future” and will feature 12 presenters from different backgrounds and experiences. These range from the fields of science, sustainability, social causes to music, magic and comedy; will be hosted by TV host Razif Hashim and former radio personality Davina Goh, both theatre actors in their own rights and have also graced the stage as presenters at previous Malaysian TEDx events.
These include Faye Jong, the 17 year old inventor of a 100% organic cloth using natural waste materials like mangosteen skins, botanist Dr Francis Ng, film director Jason Lim and social causes advocate Syed Azmi Alhabshi to name a few. You can check out the full cast of speakers here.
The turnout this year is expected to be an audience of 1,200 people, making it one of the largest TEDxYouth events in Asia.
TEDxYouth@KL was actualized by a group of over 100 volunteers, with the core team predominantly comprising of passionate student leaders and young professionals who contribute to creative, entrepreneurial, social or community based products in their own capacity.
