If you’ve just watched The Force Awakens and are wondering when the next few Star Wars films are going to crop up, look no further for we have their release dates.

Just bear in mind that these dates are subject to change because they’re not entirely set in stone.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

This would be the next Star Wars flick to come our way, almost exactly a year after The Force Awakens. Rogue One is about a band of rebels who were out to steal the plans to the Death Star before it can be used by the Empire. We’re not entirely sure they succeeded though.

Cast are Felicity Jones, Riz Ahmed, Ben Mendelsohn, Diego Luna, Jian Wen, Forest Whitaker, Donnie Yen, Mads Mikkelsen and Alan Tudyk, with direction by Gareth Edwards and writing by Gary Whitta and Chris Weitz.

Rogue One: A Star Wars Story will debut 16 December 2016

Star Wars: Episode VIII

Set to pick up immediately after The Force Awakens, the next in line after that will be starring Mark Hamill, Daisy Ridley and also Oscar Isaac, who hasn’t yet to be officially confirmed. The movie will be directed and written by Rian Johnson.

Episode VIII will come 26 May 2017.

Star Wars Anthology: Han Solo

Oh yeah!

This movie is essentially focusing on Han Solo’s character, as it follows how he became a smuggler, thief and general scoundrel that eventually encounters Obi-Wan Kenobi and Luke Skywalker at Mos Eisley.

The cast hasn’t yet been announced but the movie will be directed by Phil Lord and Christopher Miller, with Jon and Lawrence Kasdan wiring the script.

The movie will be out 25 May 2018

Star Wars: Episode IX

Practically nothing yet is known about this movie besides the fact that it will be directed by Colin Trevorrow and Rian Johnson.

The movie’s release is expected in 2019.

Stars Wars Anthology: Boba Fett

Another movie focusing on a prominent character; this time on the bounty hunter Boba Fett. The movie reportedly will be out in 2020 but like the last two movies, they haven’t let any new info out just yet.

So if all the movies pan out on their expected dates, we literally will be having a new Star Wars movie every year from here on out.  But do you think this is a good thing? let us know in the comments.
