CAPCOM has revealed the release date for Resident Evil Umbrella Corps alongside a brand new trailer for their third-person shooter.

While the game is set in the Resident Evil/Biohazard universe, the game is less focused on story and more on competitive multiplayer combat. We doubt the game will be the next CS:Go but it still looks fun in a gory kinda way. Capcom is also going to produce remakes of their previous titles for the next gen, in celebration of the franchise’s 20th anniversary.

Umbrella Corps is set for release on the Playstation 4 and PC via Steam in Europe, North America and Japan in May, with a 12 May release date for Japan.

Perhaps this will tide us over while we wait for the next Resident Evil CG movie that’s coming in 2017.
