Jessica Stroup and Tom Pelphrey are the latest to join the cast of Netflix‘s Iron Fist, as siblings Joy and Ward Meachum.
The casting of Jessica Stroup of the Following and 90210’s fame and Tom Pelphrey completes the entire Meachum family. The pair joins Finn Jones, who portrays Danny Rand, the secret identity of the Iron Fist.
Along with Jessica Henwick and David Wenham, the central line-up for the series is now complete.
The series’ plot has the Meachum siblings taking Rand Enterprises from its humble beginnings into a global concern, where the future of their roles at the company they built up becomes questionable when Danny Rand returns to the picture.
Iron Fist is the latest Marvel adaptation to be released on Netflix. The comic series dates back to the ’70s, drawing from the Bruce Lee inspired Kung Fu obsessions of the day.
The story follows Danny Rand’s quest to avenge his parents death at the hand of their business partner, Harold Meachum, played by Wennham. After completing martial arts training in the mystical city of K’un L’un.
Iron Fist will begin shooting sometime this year but have yet to set a date for its Netflix debut. The series will join Luke Cage that will be released on 30 September.
