The Compendium returns! The official companion to the Dota 2’s World Championship series The International has been upgraded this year to be a full range Battle Pass with rewards, quests, loot, and more.

So much more. Scrolling through the list of rewards and features, you can’t believe it just keeps going and going.

The Compendium is an interactive companion resource for Dota 2 that allows players to watch tournaments in their game client, make predictions as to the outcome, and be eligible to receive rewards. 25% of each Compendium’s $10 cost is added to the prize pool of the tournament it is supporting – 2015’s The International had its prize pool increased by 15 million dollars due to Compendium sales.

The Battle Pass expands upon the Compendium concept by adding significantly more stuff for the same price: Treasure packs of in-game skins; a seasonal reskin of the Dota 2 map; cosmetic changes such as weather effects, taunts, loadscreens, and a Crystal Maiden announcer pack; in-game quests; being entered into a lottery for cool loot; entry into in-game tournaments – and that’s not even counting the stretch goals!

If a player manages to upgrade their Battle Pass to level 1,000, they will receive a 1/5 scale alloy replica of The International’s Aegis trophy.

The International 2016 will be taking place from August 8th to the 13th at Seattle’s KeyArena.

This is Valve’s second Battle Pass for Dota 2. The first came out in January to support the Shanghai Major.
