While Attack on Titan is probably one of the more progressive TV Series out there, featuring many badass female characters, the lead character, Eren and narrator, Armin (unconfirmed) are both males. However, there is an Attack on Titan spinoff graphic novel titled Attack on Titan: Lost Girls that shows you the events of AOT from a female perspective. Great news! We’ll be getting that in anime form sooner rather than later.
Unlike the main Attack on Titan series, this will not be an anime-proper, but rather a three part mini-series. It will be released on 8 December 2017, 9 April 2018 and 9 August 2019.
These stories will be told from the perspective of Mikasa Ackerman and Annie Leonhart. Said stories are:
- Wall Sheena, Goodbye – Focuses on a day in the life of Annie as a Military Police as she tries to solve a case of a missing girl.
- Lost in the Cruel World – Mikasa imagines a world where Titans do not exist.
- Lost Girls – Mikasa questions Annie on her true motivation for joining the Military Police.
Season 3 of Attack on Titan will hit the small screens in 2018.
