If there was one Nendoroid that’s highly anticipated by the weeb masses, it’s got to be Cells at Work’s kawaii and chibi Platelet. Well for those of you who’ve been waiting in anticipation, Good Smile Company has finally unveiled the popular anime character in her Nendoroid form together with the not so cute but cool Goblin Slayer from the Goblin Slayer manga/anime.
The Platelet Nendoroid comes with three expressions. These include her standard expression, a troubled expression and a smiling expression. That’s not all, the Nendoroid figure also comes with several optional parts including her yellow bag, whistle, toy rake and flag for stopping traffic.
Pretty sure you’ll have fun recreating her cute scenes from the anime. She’ll also be a good companion Nendoroid to Cells at Work’s White Blood Cell, Neutrophil (sold separately).
Also unveiled was the Goblin Slayer Nendoroid from the Goblin Slayer anime/manga. It isn’t surprising that the popular manga turned anime’s main character would get a Nendoroid makeover with fully articulated joints and a plethora of optional parts.
These parts include a translucent eye accessory to imitate Goblin Slayer’s distinct eye glint. There’s also a short sword, torch, and bloody club weapon accessories to highlight his brutalness. Of course, what’s a Goblin Slayer Nendoroid without a goblin? Good Smile Company has also thrown in a goblin figure as well so the brooding main character can have his brutal way with it.
Pre-orders for both figures are now open at Good Smile Company’s website till January 9, 2019. The expected release date for both figures would be June 2019 for Platelet and July 2019 for Goblin Slayer. Both figures are retailing for JPY¥4,500 including tax though expect a slight increase in price once it makes it to your local stores.
