Here we have the first glimpse of Sofia Boutella’s mysterious alien character in Star Trek Beyond. The actress was last seen in Kingsmen as the female fatale with the gazelle-like razor legs.

In the video, we can see Kirk and his crew (Chekov and Scotty) interacting with the alien in front of a green screen. It seems like they just crashed a spaceship and emerged to a new planet or surrounding, trying to make sense on what’s going on. The alien is unfazed by the situation and proceeds to get to work with minimal fuss.

The all new Starfleet uniform is evident and it looks like Boutella’s alien character is cooperating with the crew of the Enterprise. However, besides this, not much is known at this point. What we do know is Chris Pine (Star Trek, Wonder Woman), Zachary Quinto (Hitman, Star Trek), Karl Urban (Dredd), Zoe Saldana (Guardians of the Galaxy, Avatar), Simon Pegg (Shaun of the Dead, Paul) and John Cho (Star Trek) are back as the crew with the addition of Boutella as the unnamed alien and Idris Elba (Pacific Rim, Thor) who is cast as the villain in this movie.

The movie is set for an exploration in the cinemas on 8 July 2016.
