ASUS now has a dedicated Republic of Gamers (ROG) concept store which just opened on the Ground Floor of Low Yat Plaza, here to cater to your gaming needs.

During the store launch, ASUS also unveiled their most powerful gaming laptop, the ROG GX800.asus_ROG_lowyat_0936

Being announced at Computex this year, the GX800 is the brand’s most powerful to date; sporting a unique liquid-cooling system that attaches to the rear of the device. The previous model also sported a similar cooling system but that has been re-designed for the GX800, to cool both the GPU and CPU.

The GX800 is home to a handful of updated features compared to the GX700. For starters it runs on an Intel Core i7 processor, sports a larger 18.4 inch 4K IPS display and can have up to a whopping 64GB of DDR4 RAM. It’s also home to 512GB SSD storage and a NVIDIA GeForce GTX SLI graphic card with 16GB GDDR5X RAM.

And of course, a MechTAG mechanical keyboard with RGB backlighting.

The laptop weighs in at a massive 5.7kg, with the dock itself weighing in at 4.7kg. To move this monster around, ASUS will bundle a GX800 travel suitcase with wheels to help you scoot your laptop around. For those who don’t want to lug the cooling unit with them, the device come with a ROG SHUTTLE gaming backpack for the laptop itself.

There isn’t a solid price for the GX800 as of yet, but the price is expected to fall around the RM20,000 mark. Yikes.

But if you want to pick up it’s sibling the GX700, you can pick it up at RM4,000 off its original launch price at RM14,999.
