The first of CW‘s Arrow Season 4 trailer is now available and boy does it get our blood pumping. In it we get hints of what Oliver Queen has been up to right after he bid sayonara to Starling City last season.
However it ain’t just what ol Arrow’s shenanigans that we get to check out either. A whole slew of new characters make their appearance including new baddie Damian Dahrk played by Neal McDonough and a new DC superhero, Curtis Holt aka Mr. Terrific, played by Echo Kellum.
The special guests appearance doesn’t just end there as we’ll also be seeing appearances by Parker Young, Jeri Ryan, Alexander Calver, and Elysia Rotaru. And as for those of you who were sad to see Constantine get pulled of the air, weep not as Matt Ryan will be reprising his role in Arrow. Hopefully this would eventually see the CW picking up where Constantine left off.
Of course the season regulars will be back to reprise their roles this season. One interesting thing to note is that in the trailer, Oliver Queen now sports a brand new new costume. Will this signal a name change as well? Will Oliver Queen finally drop the “Green” in front of the “Arrow” and finally be the Emerald Archer we all love from the comics?
Guess we’ll have to wait for the season to start to find out. What we won’t see this season, at leas costume wise, is the infamous Green Arrow goatee from the comics. Stephen Amell is still refusing to get that piece of face furniture to go along with the new outfit. Well, one can only dream.
Another thing to note is John Diggle’s new costume in the trailer. Previously, we theorised that Diggle will be this universe’s Guardian with his new helmet getup, and though the trailer does show him duking it out with the baddies in his new do, there isn’t any mention of what moniker he has picked up.
Season 4 looks like it’s set to be one hell of a ride for DC and Arrow fans. Throw in all those special guests stars, Season 3 of the The Flash and the new Legend’s of Tomorrow series, and you know that we’ll all be glued to the idiot box for a very long time.
Arrow Season 4 is set for a return on 7 October 2015.
