Aftermath

CivilWarCapSurrender

The Civil War comic series came to a close when an assault by Captain America’s forces on Iron man’s prison 42 in the negative zone spilled over into New York. As both sides engaged each other in The Big Apple they were oblivious to the fact that they were decimating the city around them, until Captain America, having gained the upper hand ver Iron Man, realised the harm they were causing civilians and signalled his surrender to the pro-registration forces. Iron Man’s victory was short lived, however as Captain America was then assassinated on the steps of a the New York courthouse as he was brought in.

It’s well known that both Robert Downey Jnr. and Chris evens have tired of the relentles grind of Marvel movies,  so either of them could end up biting the big one in Captain America: Civil War. The fact that somebody dies has been all but confirmed by the number of extras listed as playing mourners on the film’s IMDB page!

Then again, Marvel could be faking us all out again and Tony Styark’s bodygoard, Happy Hogan as played by Jon Favre3au could be the one who dies somehow, something that did happen in the comics although he was also married to Pepper Potts, which makes it an odd kind of alternate universe.

Cap did get better in the comics after being assassinated, so our best would be that a temporary death could be on the cards for Steve Rogers , rather than Tony Stark, with the Winter Soldier or The Falcon  stepping in to the role in other movie, but not another Captain America movie  before Cap returns for The Infinity Gauntlet.

No doubt we’ll find out come April 28th.
