Lego joins The Force one again with their Resistance Rises shorts that take place before the events of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.Given that there are many Star Wars materials to choose from comics to novels to fill in the gaps between Return of the Jedi and the latest film, Lego’s shorts offers a unique narrative approach to the story.
Those looking for something more insightful and accurate to the franchise will be delightedly disappointed as the Resistance Rises gives a hilarious take on the Star Wars: the Force Awakens, delivered in Lego’s signature comedic style.
The four shorts cover the characters of Star Wars: The Force Awakens, both old favourites and new faces. These includes C-3PO, BB-8, Poe Dameron, Han Solo, Chewbacca, Maz Kanata and Rey along with a special appearance by Lando Calrissian.
These Resistance Rises short also cross over with other materials in the Star Wars Universe. The first short titled Poe to the Rescue intersects with the Marvel Comic’s one shot of C-3PO. It also offers a great back story on how the two gang of thugs in the movie go after Solo.
