2. Touken Ranbu (2017)
Female anime fans rejoice, 2017 is bringing a wave of hunky husbands for your viewing pleasure and the second adaptation of Touken Ranbu, the online web browser game, is leading the way.
We can’t be sure how this particular adaptation will differentiate from the games first anime (which was… really bad). However, it’s safe to say that the more serious narrative revolving around history’s mightiest blades being turned into male warriors, is bound to be really interesting (at least please be more interesting than the first adaptation).
As a highlight, the anime is being developed by ufotable who have been proven to be one of the best modern animation studios so far. At least there’s a glimmer of hope it’ll be a lot better than the first one.
