New Mutants Issue #98
It’s worth looking back at Deadpool’s very first appearance in New Mutants #98 to see just how little he has changed since that time.
The Rob Liefed outfit hasn’t changed all that much (maybe a few less pockets) and the attitude is right there from the start along with the flippant sense of humour.
Unfortunately to get to this you also have to slog through though 17 pages of X-drama featuring Rictor, Boom Boom, Cannonball and Cable, but even Deadpool’s ignominious exit from the book is perfectly in keeping with the character he became (Cable fedexes Deadpool back to his employer!)
