Roald Dahl classic The BFG is next on the list, being adapted into a film by Steven Spielberg. Mark Rylance will be cast as the BFG himself and Ruby Barnhill as Sophie and Bill Hader in a yet unspecified role. The movie will come around 1 July 2016.
Pete’s Dragon is also getting the reboot treatment; with the 1977 Disney classic’s remake to star Robert Redford, Karl Urban and Wes Bentley; to be released 12 August 2016.
Not forgetting Dr. Strange, Marvel’s next big movie after Civil War. The movie will star Benedict Cumberbatch and will explore the character as he’s trained to fight evil by a sorcerer. It will hit cinemas 26 October 2016.
Moana is an animated musical feature that is probably the only place you’ll hear Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson sing. The movie focuses on a teen who goes on an oceanic adventure to find a legendary island; and is joined by demigod Maui (Johnson) on her journey. The movie hits 23 November 2016.
