We finally have some new material for the new Fantastic Four movie directed by Josh Trank (Chronicle) with new TV spots and featurettes.
We can see that the makers are trying to appeal and connect to the audience at the personal level with the stars talking about what makes the movie different from its predecessors. Kate Mara thinks the more human and grounded qualities will make the audience empathize more with the film. The crew also talks more on the background of the film; they’re the chosen to attend a special school for gifted people and this is where they cracked the inter-dimensional time travel riddle.

“Fantastic Four,” a contemporary re-imagining of Marvel’s original and longest-running superhero team, centers on four young outsiders who teleport to an alternate and dangerous universe, which alters their physical form in shocking ways. Their lives irrevocably upended, the team must learn to harness their daunting new abilities and work together to save Earth from a former friend turned enemy.”
We also get to see Dr. Doom in more detail in the latest TV spot, learning that the quartet were locked up after they awaken with superhuman powers. Sue makes a plea that they are not the ones that the humans should fear. Then it cuts to Toby Kebbell’s Dr. Doom doing his thing.
