Naruto creator Masashi Kishimoto has not only confirmed that he’s already got his next project in the works, but says that he might actually be able to announce his project this year.
He didn’t however, reveal the project’s format, so it could well be a manga, an anime or a light novel for all we know. There’s also no set definite date for it yet either.
However, that is pretty much all we know about his project, but he does plan to surpass the Naruto franchise with it at the very least.
Kishimoto ended his renowned Naruto manga in November 2014, after it was serialized for the better part of 15 years. He then produced Naruto: The Seventh Hokage and the Scarlet Spring one-volume sequel manga. He also worked on Boruto – Naruto the Movie-, as the chief production supervisor on top of penning the script and producing character design.
What do you think he has up his sleeves for his next big work? let us know in the comments.
