The Peanuts Movie has been graced with yet another trailer to tease what is coming from one of the most iconic cartoons in America. In UK, the movie title would be Snoopy and Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie.
This trailer features Charlie Brown, Snoopy and the gang back to give old fans a good heap of nostalgia and maybe charm new ones too. The movie plot revolves around Charlie Brown’s dreading the arrival of a new kid in the school and tries to make a good first impression with Little Red-Haired Girl (which he fails). This is also the first encounter of Charlie Brown and the lovable beagle, Snoopy and they found themselves having funky adventures of their own.
A few characters are expected to show up such as Fifi (Snoopy’s live interest), his brother Olaf, a group of Beagle Scouts and Frieda. Noah Schnapp (Bridge of Spies) will voice Charlie Brown whereas Snoopy and Woodstock are voiced by Bill Melendez via archival recordings, since he passed away in 2008.
Here’s the official synopsis by Fox:
“Snoopy, the world’s most lovable beagle – and flying ace! – embarks upon his greatest mission as he and his team take to the skies to pursue their arch-nemesis, while his best pal Charlie Brown begins his own epic quest back home.”
The movie is directed by Ice Age director Steve Martino and produced by Paul Feig. Three people worked on the writing – Craig Schulz, Bryan Schulz, and Cornelius Uliano. The movie is set to be released on 6 November 2015 to coincide with 65th anniversary of the cartoon strip and 50th anniversary of TV special A Charlie Brown Christmas.
