Saiyuki Reload Blast has just gotten its premiere date, as well as some new (and old) characters revealed for the upcoming anime.
Saiyuki Reload Blast is a sequel to Kazuya Minekura’s Saiyuki and Saiyuki Reload manga series.
Saiyuki Reload Blast once again takes us on a journey as the latest installment in the Saiyuki series, which also happens to be the first Saiyuki anime that Pierrot isn’t animating. The project is being directed by Hideaki Nakano, along with Kenji Konuta on scripts. Youko Sato is on character design, with GRANRODEO performing the opening theme “move on! and Luck Life’s “Refrain.” will be the anime’s ending theme.
As for the cast, here’s the many returning voice cast for the show:
- Toshihiko Seki as Genjo Sanzo
- Souichiro Hoshi as Son Goku
- Hiroaki Hirata as Sha Gojyo
- Akira Ishida as Cho Hakkai
- Rei Igarashi as Kanzeon Bosatsu
- Takeshi Kusao as Kougaiji
As well as the new cast members, with their character portraits below:
- Junichi Suwabe as Saitaisai
- Kaho Kouda as Crown Prince Nataku
- Jin Yamanoi as Dokugakuji
- Chiwa Saito as Taruchie
The anime itself will premiere 5 July 2017.
For those who can’t catch it in Japan, the anime will also stream online, though the official streaming platforms have yet to be revealed (though we’re betting at least one will be Crunchyroll) but if it’s a trailer you’re looking for, you can check it out below!
