We came, we saw, we kicked its ass!
After disappearing from public view for a number of years, in 1997 the Ghostbusters returned once again in animated from Extreme Ghostbusters. This time around Egon Spengler was the only original team member to return. With the help of Janine and Slimer, Egon assembled a new team consisting of Goth Kylie Griffin, latino Eduardo Rivera, the wheelchair bound Garrett Miller and African-American Roland Jackson.
While the series only ran for one, 40 episode season, it is well remembered by fans, won awards for its portrayal of diverse characters, and acted as a sequel to The Real Ghostbusters with Ray, Peter and Winston all returning for the two-part finale.
