Zankyou No Terror (Terror-in-Tokyo)
Anti-heros are definitely hot this season. Who doesn’t want to be a smart teenager, armed with unrivalled intelligence, knowledge on bombs and unstoppable hacking skills? Who doesn’t want to be a terrorist… ok maybe we crossed a line there somewhere. Seriously though, we’d be rather surprised if this anime doesn’t get some flack in the US for “promoting teenage terrorism”. After all, the does plot focus on teenagers Nine and Twelve who form “Sphinx”, a terrorist group set on raining terror on Tokyo. Throw in expositions on morality and and a look into the characters past and you know that it’s already going to be a compelling watch. And story aside, it has not only Shinichiro Watanabe directing but music from Yoko Kanno as well. With those two names involved, you are almost certainly in for some high quality action anime art.
A must watch for: Anyone with a penchant for anarchy, or the little terrorist in the making
