Bungo Stray Dogs
This one’s a Japanese tale of Oliver Twist with a real twist.
Written by Kafka Asagiri and illustrated by Sango Harukawa, the Seinen anime is about an orphan named Nakajima Atsushi who is kicked out and led to starve.
The best part? His chance meeting with a man who attempts to commit suicide leads him to be part of a very special detective agency run by well-known mystery and horror authors such as Agatha Christie, Mark Twain, Francis Scott Fitzgerald, H.P Lovecraft and many others who handle supernatural cases.
With Bones behind the production of the April 7th scheduled anime, it’s no surprise why we decided to include this title into the list.
