Gantz: G

Gantz G Manga

Catergory: Seinen

Genre: Mystery, Sci-fi, Action

Basically a spinoff of the original well received Seinen series, this time around writer Hiroya Oku and mangaka Keita Iizuka retell the story with a whole different characters and plot twists.

The spinoff, which was first announced in Miracle Jump in November last year, attempts to provide a fresh new take on the Gantz universe. Instead of male protagonist Kei Kurono, the main character is a female with the name Kei Kurona.

Oh, and instead of a train incident, this time around the story begins with an incident involving a bus.

Released in the same magazine in December 2015, the manga is basically an alternate take on Gantz with many of the characters resembling and sharing similar traits of the original characters from the original series which began its run in 2000 and ended 13-years later in August.

Read it if: You didn’t have enough of the blood, gore and suspense of the original Gantz series.
